Welcome to SSL Vanade.com

https://Vanade.com is the web entry point to my local network, which replaces telnetd and ftpd, and complements sshd. All privately-authenticated web sessions must go through this service as it's encrypted. Communication to this site was intended for data transactions that may have sensitive information, including login information and private data stored on this machine.

Certificate and other Security Warnings

Notice this site has a self-signed certificate that most web browsers will not trust by default. See FAQ/notes for more details.

Applications

Currently there is one master application, weblogker(login.cgi), which will allow people to download arbitrary files when presenting the system with a valid login. Uploading files of limited size is now available in beta test, please login to try and test it! Reloading login.cgi results in opening the control panel for properly logged in users. The control panel can be used to check status, browse directories, upload, and logout.

Download files by presenting a filename such as: https://Vanade.com/login.cgi?grab=/etc/passwd after logging in. If you're not properly logged in, credentials will be queried. Check out the FAQ/Info sheet for more details, as well as a link to get the current network certificates (this HTTP secure socket layer uses a different certificate than the OpenVPN/WPA2-Enterprise service.)

Make sure you remove cookies or logout when complete with the transaction.

You may either load the main login page or login to the miniature embedded page in the left hand side "green" bar (round robin proxies may break the green bar login, use normal login page and check the round robin proxy box to fix). Make sure you refresh the page to ensure the status is updated on your browser page.

wpicture.cgi, the automatic photograph bandwidth limiter, will eventually have full interoperability with login.cgi. Wpicture will override picture quality degradation for users when logged in. Currently it does not work.

weblogker is custom software - this code is not available for public use and is not for sale.

All users are to treat use of this service much like logging in through secure shell or other interactive session. All who have legitimate accounts on this machine are trusted that they will follow unlisted rules. For all other interested parties, terms of service is posted here.

Squirrelmail has been removed due to lack of use.
